Cyclades Islands Travel and Holidays Guide

The Cyclades islands, located at the south Aegean Sea, are perhaps the most cosmopolitan island complex in Greece.

The island of Syros and its capital Ermoupolis is the capital of the Cyclades, with most sea transport links passing from the Ermoupolis port.

There are about 220 islands, small isles and rocks in Cyclades, with the major islands (those with residents staying all year round) being Amorgos, Anafi, Andros, Antiparos, Delos, Eschate, Ios, Kea, Kímolos, Kythnos, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Folegandros, Serifos, Sifnos, Sikinos, Syros, Tinos, and Santoríni (Thira).

The Cyclades islands are ideal for those spending summer holidays there with a boat, as boats give you the opportunity to spot beaches and some great scenes which are not reachable by road.
